Do you think he still would have fallen to the ground after he landed if he missed the ball completely? Watch it again & think about that. If yes, then he was clearly falling as he caught the ball. If no, then you're lying to yourself.

He's clearly going to the ground when he catches the ball, so the rule applies. No "football move" in between the catch & stumbling to the ground. Say what you want about the rule itself, but this is not a catch according to the rule.
