Skid plate race! These were very unreliable, even the trim pieces fall apart, parts are expensive and they don’t hold value. Not worth fixing for a DD, hidden costs usually end up costing more than what the car is worth. I would try to fix the cable as cheaply as possible and sell it to someone I don’t know.
