Seconded.
Seconded.
Do you mean it implies it's a chick car? That's exactly what they intended.

I am very napoleonic in my belief that everyone smokes crack until proven otherwise, thus far it remains in question... I see many a crackhead on the street with a smartphone. Perhaps you should change your handle to "Idontsmokecrack" and we can just get this whole mess figured out. You should probably get on the horn…
Your parents hire an attorney. Probably the same one that gets you out of jail when you get caught smoking all that crack, amiright? But seriously, cracks such a drug of the poors, why bother?
I believe such a vehicle does exist, and it's called a lightly used For schedule Cayman
Did you get kicked out after 2 years for smoking crack? I knew a guy like that.
Haha, what's your point?
Probably around 6.5", as a dedicated Note user (I've had all of them from the beginning) I HATE using anyone's phone with a screen smaller than 4.7", like my gf s iPhone 5S for example. I tried the Galaxy Mega (6.3") and that's probably close to the max for me.
TrueCar is still going to offer a better price, they base their pricing off the last 90 days of sales data vs this system will allow the dealer to set a minimum price. Dealers have been fighting TrueCar tooth and nail (justifiably so in some cases) and Edmunds is offering the "dealer friendly" solution.
Looks like the tow truck just ran straight through a red light.
Looks like a Galaxy Mega... 6.3"screen, larger than the note
Even when you turn 21, all of the major rental companies (Avis, Hertz, Enrerprise, etc) will still ding you with a $20-30/day fee until your 25.
I'm sure there are ones that try, but the platform will weed those drivers out rather quickly via user reviews. So yes, there is a lot that a user could do to address the situation.
Sorry I've never met anyone that has been blacklisted from a carshare service, and that includes a number of friends that have puked during a ride... they just upped their tip and that was that.
I'm a sidecar guy myself, have taken 2 a day, every week day, for almost a year now. Have used Uber and Lyft as well some of the small SF companies (Hitch, Chariot, etc) and have never had anything less than a great experience.
I must say dropping them off in the middle of the projects (I grew up not far from there) is messed up. I'm thinking the driver may of not been willing to drive in there... it's a rough area.
The payouts from cases like this are not going to put a dent in companies like Uber or Lyft sitting in Billions of investor dollars. As for safety I guess that's a possibility, but imo there is an extremely small probability of that happening.
There are more stories for sure, but for every negative story there are several positive ones. For example I left my phone in a lyft 2 weeks ago and the guy drove it back to my office an hour later, he wouldn't even take $20 that I offered him.
I agree that we need to have better background checks, but what City governments will want that to lead to is "licensing". Which is an artifical constraint on supply in the name of public good that is really just a cash grab that benefits few (think Taxi Medallions)
