Yea... insurance... that's a whole nother thing isn't, haha.
Agreed, Yamaha makes plenty of small vehicles that could benefit from a little v8 power... space would be an issue, but nothing a little clever engineering cant solve!
LA and San Diego seem to be the mecca for Z's, prices do drop the colder it gets. I had a 240Z project in college, and I was about to pull the trigger on getting a one with a V8, but then decided to save up a little more cash and grab a 350Z Roadster.
Yea, all of us lazy 20 somethings and our 70 hour work weeks... I hear back in the day you had to walk to work uphill both ways in the snow without a jacket while being chased by the Russians... now that sounds like a challenge!
I love the e-type and I think that it does look better from the rear than the Z (which is its worst angle, imp) but the fact that you can get a Z for a fraction of the cost and drop in a Chevy small block with little modification makes me a bigger fan of the Z.
Yea, I pulled this one off Google because I was too lazy to go on CL and find a real example. I would imagine that this example with the V8 swap would go in the 5K range, but I know that at least out here in CA there are plenty of great examples that go for 2,500 - 4,000.
The parallel parking game? That sounds like the worst idea I've ever heard, and will most likely result in many a bumper scratch (the worst part of driving a decent car in the city).
To me this sounds like the perfect way to Hoon a Gallardo to your hearts content... and then at the end of the day not have to worry about silly expenses like $1000 tires...
OR, you could get this $3000 Datsun
Then you need to head down to your local Volvo dealership
Yes, and those headlights are a deadringer for the 350/370Z
On might think that they are actually the SAME CAR!!!
None of these...
This is true, but at least when they do whatever stupid thing they are going to do they will see me riding my horn and sending the one-finger peace sign their way...
As a motorcycle rider you learn this lesson quickly, make eye contract with everyone and look into a car before making the pass to make sure that the driver is paying attention.
San Francisco pedestrians are only bested by bicyclists when it comes to asshat behavior. Yes, the pedestrian always has the right-away, but that doesn't mean that you can't pay attention to the situation around you.
I just picked up a pair of Abel Planet NC1001 headphone for $60, I needed a cheap pair of noise cancelling headphones after breaking my Bose NC15's, and boy for the money they are a great pair.
Ah, I see, the article implies that it was left while going through a checkpoint, I can't watch the video due to being at work, haha.
This goes double for motorcycles, one of the coolest things I discovered when I got my first bike is that when passing another bike its good manners to acknowledge him/her with a quick hand gesture or a tip of the helmet.
