Also, not sure the elder woman just goes along with this.

Wrong thread. This is potential spoiler for the show.

How long does it take to prepare an army and get them from Highgarden to Kings Landing? We might get her trial before Margaery's walk would've been scheduled.

There was a moment when Tyrion presents the women and said something about the "taste" that I thought maybe they had some cousins who were going to kiss-poison the masters.

Or that they were all just filled with oil and spilled out when tipped. I don't remember if we saw what the fuel was, but it probably wasn't wood based on their size.

Not according to Jaqen.

He borrowed Littlefinger's jetpack.

I wasn't arguing that they are that similar as shows (technically they're rather different) but much of the underlying observational and situational humor is, for obvious reasons. I don't think I know anyone (close to my age at least) who doesn't have an affinity for Seinfeld.

Run FAR away from The Hobbit films if you didn't like LOTR.

If anyone, anywhere has ever referred to Maroon 5 as having produced a "masterpiece" then kindly point me towards the nearest bridge.

I love it but have friends within the same social circle that generally shares a set of similar tastes who both love it and don't like it. Humor, in general, is very subjective and personality-driven shows that feature cringe comedy are particularly polarizing. It's like how someone can potentially like the UK Office

Unless, of course, it is a good idea. Certainly anyone can like or dislike any show for any reason but I reject your assertion that it objectively can't work the way it was written and directed to. It didn't invent the concept of cringe comedy, or the faux-doc format, but it took both a new level for TV. Several other

If I still had cable, I'd admit to being one of those people who stop and watch it when accidentally clicking on TNT but this was great.

I love Pan's Labyrinth (and some other GdT stuff like The Devil's Backbone) but, after Crimson Peak (in particular), I am beginning to wonder whether he just hit the right notes a few times and is not the auteur I hoped he was.

That is not a particularly inviting introduction to Kid A. I love Radiohead and Kid A but even I didn't really find that pleasurable (and I've seen a lot of Radiohead live).

I'm with you on Kanye. I enjoy parts of all three college albums (each less than the prior, from 1-3), but virtually nothing after that when he ascended to "genius" status.

No one thinks Ponyo is a masterpiece, but I am split with you (as huge Miyazki/Ghibli fan). I love Howl's and think it's one of the most watchable Miyazki films but think Ponyo is pretty awful all around (the character design, animation, music, etc.). It's full of Disney-like drivel. The only person I know who

Ha ha. I knew you wouldn't miss this comment. Sorry. I thought I should like it (and had a BF who is a superfan) so I tried and tried but now I've given up. I maintain that it's just not as good as it's reputed to be.

No, did you say utter crap? You said it "relies too much on cringe comedy," which I don't logically understand because it was predicated on it.

Well, yeah, that's exactly what the UK version is aspiring to. I think the UK version is great. It also ran for just 12+ episodes so it didn't drag IMO.
