I had to re-watch both episodes. I think Trystane was still on the same ship that's now anchored off of King's Landing after Jamie took the small boat to shore. After Doran's death they cut in a shot of that ship to set up the next scene where he is killed, so I assume that he is killed chronologically after Jamie

Some good suggestions. Mads should be in everything, obviously. Michael Shannon could fit perfectly as well. I'd love to see Werner, even as an extra.

That's kind of my point. It's different than just any typical 10-20 year period where a certain number of people would be expected to die.

Yeah, but there is a generation of icons from the formative years of rock and pop (as well as blues, soul/r&b, country, and the evolution of jazz) that is quickly going to leave us within a relatively short period of time. Think about how many stars you revere that were all somewhere between 10-30 from 1950-1970 or

Dylan is still out there. I'd say he's probably the creative goliath in the room. People will obviously freak out about McCartney. Probably Aretha, too. Keith Richards doesn't really count as he's got a lifetime (no pun intended) lock on the number one spot. I still panic about Joni whenever I remember to. If I were

It is a rarity that a great artist "gets to" record music about their own death while still in some sort of creative prime as Bowie did. I guess, by definition, most people who die young, or at least before they have fully entered into old, old age, do so from unforeseen circumstances. Warren Zevon comes to mind, as

What the hell was I thinking listening to this on a glorious Saturday morning. The blinds don't keep out the burning sun.

Yeah, and I think it's no coincidence that No Country for Old Men was one of the few adaptations they've made.

O_o

Yes, I know. Thanks.

And don't you dare try to sneak in Neil Patrick Harris in a film remake! (I'm sure it will go to Michael C. Hall, anyway.)

I'm also skeptical on Han but withholding judgement until I see it. I can conceive of it working with a relatively unknown and a perfect script in the hands of a strong director (I haven't seen Hail Cesar yet, if it is that guy).

And Dr. Strangelove/Chauncey.

Bonus: Both he and Ewan would get naked as required.

I think there's a whole category of original films that won't/can't be remade because of the directors and actors who didn't just play a role but were the character themselves. I'd probably put all of the performances in almost every Cohen Brothers or Wes Anderson film in this category.

Thanks for that. I'm sticking with adaptation or extension as a noun.

I liked both. I guess I wasn't bothered by the first season in the same way since it was not trying to be anything but obvious (and I thought the actual script, acting and directing all worked relatively very well as a stand-alone product). If it had followed the film more directly years ago, or wasn't done as well,
