I thought expanding the hobbit to a trilogy was a, ‘get dragged into the street and shot’ kind of offense, and I don’t think I was proved wrong. And the third movie was just awful.

That said, they did do a nice job of immersing you into the world of Middle Earth, if you want that sort of thing.  But you definitely

The best part of that clip and probably the entire movie was the split second of Dick Van Dyke.

It sounds great, if only I actually needed an alarm clock. I pretty much have a clock in my head, and that combined with anxiety and falling asleep issues means I’m always awake when its time to get up.

Will this light help me actually get out of bed or offer any other benefits than just getting me to open my eyes

I love this movie.

I missed it in theaters, but have watched it multiple times in recent years.

I just saw it again last week, and was reminded how much I enjoyed it.

That said, there is something wrong about this film. Something off, something amiss. The acting is a little stilted - though I don’t necessarily blame

it should have ended with, “I was better off back at the wall...”

My fascination for this show is due to its unbelievably sharp sci-fi commentary. It’s like Gulliver’s Travels meets time travel. If you don’t get it, its not for you, but for anyone who enjoys Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy type humor and philosophy, its like crack.

After a year or two of the first few books being out, I finally read one to see what the hub bub was all about. Putting aside that it was for a younger audience, I thought it was pretty brilliant. Devoured the rest of the books.

Favorite part: When Harry finally drinks the luck potion and all that crazy stuff happens.

The Bionic Six.

Aww shucks, I was enjoying MAKING HISTORY. I mean yes, it has serious holes out the wazoo, but it was a silly take on time traveling, what could go wrong? Oh, right, just about everything. It’s become cringeworthy-to-watch TV, which is the worst type (for me personally.)

I wanted it to go a little more in depth on the

Almost...like the force is with him.
<showing myself out>

I love this book. I have been hoping for a long time that someone would create a visual medium to share this story with the world in that form.
So then Sci-Fi decides to completely ruin it.
Sci-Fi is fine for what it is...but I cannot stand their B- quality TV shows like Zombie Nation or whatever. I just cannot enjoy

Many people below say this is their favorite new show this season, and I agree. It’s got a formula that works, and doesn’t rely on gimmicks to keep it going, just natural character and plot development. I want to see where this is going and I’ll enjoy smelling the roses along the way. Not sure what makes it so

“Jon Snow riding south to meet with Theon Greyjoy”

Ohhhhh yea. This is the reunion we’ve been salivating over. How many teeth will Snow de Jon knock out of Theon’s mouth before deciding they are even? Are there even that many teeth in all the multi-verse?

I have mixed feelings about all this.

On the one hand, proposing a colonization of mars and future planets in today’s world is staggeringly out of touch. I honestly don’t see any kind of interplanetary project working unless we fix some of the problems that are keeping us from becoming a true global society. Like

This question just gets right to the heart of the heart ache, you know?

Recently, I really enjoyed FOREVER, that Detective Procedural show with an M.E. who couldn’t be killed. I thought it was a quality show that had at least another season to it.

This. My two major assumptions about our (failed) understanding of the universe are: 1) We probably won’t recognize alien life when we find it because we won’t have any frame of reference for something so different from us, and 2) we don’t even know for sure what kind of Universe we’re living in. Could we be just a

Mike, this is awesome because I love Weird Al, and I first met this character when my 3 yr old daughter was watching an episode with Cheese in it, and I didn’t think anything of it, just leaving the show in the background.

I left the room to do something else. When I came back I instantly realized Cheese was voiced by

Am I the only one who can see through the High Sparrow’s veil of sanctity? He does talk a pretty good game...but he has let some things slip over the last few episodes.

For instance, it seems pretty clear that 1) he is only in this for power, not the Gods, and 2) he has it in for the highborn, and wants to bring them

Backfire it did. I was already waining on Walking Dead, and this obvious kick in the teeth to their audience has indeed infuriated me.
I am taking a step back from this show, and they probably just put the first nail in their own coffin.

So, basically, just wait for the netflix version of Walking Dead from here on out so I can enjoy the show without bleeps? Will do.
