Rant in reply

@Samurai I-am-awry: Ok, that definitely comes across sounding a lot more mean than I intended. It's just funny because (from my experience at least) the Germans go absolutely nuts for Christmas. I mean, they basically celebrate it twice: the 6th and the 25th.

@john144001: You clearly know nothing about the way Germans celebrate Christmas then.

siiigh, I miss being barefoot all the time. The bottoms of my feet were like solid black all summer (except in the morning before I'd left the house). It was awesome

@Spoddy: I believe the error is when you drag a window around the desktop, the window behaves very similarly to that

@dtptampa: Yes yes yes! I've never understood while normal pop-up toasters have always been favored to toaster ovens. Talk about a versatile piece of equipment. Try heating up left over pizza in a normal toaster, I dare you.

this is very clearly for the photo contest this week.

siigh. I had a big long rant typed up about the second design, but then I remembered what serious business the internet is, and deleted it.

@cmdtacos: Hmmm interesting. Not actually owning any DX lenses myself, I just assumed that the smaller image circle was part of producing a more "zoomed out" image. Now I'm left wondering why these DX lenses exist. Their one feature in my eyes apparently doesn't' even exist.

@Eriamjh: I think it was also mentioned during the special features (that I would normally fast forward through but did watch a few times) on the Star Wars remastered VHS tapes from some time in the mid 90s, I can't recall exactly.

@Omar Beach: Yeah I think I get what you mean. When it gets to the point where we expect these videos from them (which is where we may or may not be right now) there could be a problem. They're no longer quirky, fun surprises. They become the norm.

@Omar Beach: I'm sure there are plenty of people who, after each video release start saying "well, OK Go jumped the shark with this one." "Man these videos aren't as good anymore." etc.

If you're shooting 35mm or a full frame DSLR, then 35mm would be considered wide. 50mm is what would be 'normal' on those formats.

@KamWrex: slacktivism. That's my vocab word of the day. I like it.

Poor lonely Russia :(

I'll be interested to see how many more times the #playboytron tag gets used
