No, thanks, I'd rather go with one of these.
I can recall this legal principle from a couple years back, that governments cannot be held liable for things that only governments do. However, it is my understanding that this extends to only those acts themselves. For example, someone cannot recover damages from a state welfare agency for not removing a child…
Just dropped by to post this - thought it would be appropriate.
Big deal. I have slept in a 911 GT3 Cup on no fewer than five occasions. Once I was too tired for the drive back from Monterrey. A second time I got stuck in a sandstorm just outside of Dubai. And it's so cozy inside that, in 2010, I fell asleep during the 12 Hours of Sebring. When I was feeling pretty…

So, the guy who paid these hos doesn't get in trouble?
To cover all your bases:
Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy! Blasphemy!
If I adjust the suspension to make the ride more comfortable - that's really defeating the purpose of the car. If I try to drive it in everyday traffic, it will overheat. I'll get pulled-over for my straight pipes. I'll arrive hot and sweaty wherever I go. I'll spin-out whenever I make the slightest miscalculation…
Obligatory comment from a Jezebel reader:
I'm with you. I'm inclined to want to keep NASCAR out of this altogether. But if it means better television coverage, better turn-out, and the NASCAR name not plastered anywhere, I'm good with it. Is NASCAR having some financial problems right now?
I've heard that the current DPs are more technically similar to the current ALMS GT cars, and that the Daytona GT cars are more similar to GTC. I guess we'll just have to see how things unfold over the next couple years.
Yeah, I was there, those last two laps were insane! However, there doesn't seem to be that much demand or supply for P1s.
Seconded: I was not properly warned about the possible damage to my ears and mind.
I live along the border between Illinois and Iowa. It's about $3.99/gallon where I live in Illinois, but I always go across the river to fill-up in Iowa because it's always about $0.30 cheaper per gallon because of lower taxes. I'll go over there this morning and top-off, paying about $3.70. With a 25-gallon tank…
Finally, a question that is challenging. Instead of something like "would you have sex with Scarlett Johansson after driving a Ferrari 250 GTO?"
This year's race was my second ALMS at Road America. If you ever go, you have to stay at Canada Corner for at least an hour - I made the mistake of not doing that my first year. Great photos - I'm using one for my WP!
The Vipers are completely new cars, so it's not unusual to see less-than-optimal performance towards the beginning - especially in only the second race ever for that car (I think it debuted at Mid-Ohio). Nevertheless, I was a little disappointed myself. Better luck next year, I'll be rooting for them!
Me too!
