The media will start ignoring Trump when he stops making them money and not a second before. That’s the system of the 4th estate we’ve created, and we reap what we’ve sown. America isn’t a country, it’s a business.

If you beat the tag now you beat the tag. What’s the argument against sliding and maintaining contact with the bag? Sometimes it’s close? Sometimes it close at 1st. Sometimes it would be close on the tag you want them to beat before they touch the bag. Guys would still slide to get under the tag rather than standing…
Why not change the rule to not allow overrunning 1st? You’re also suggesting allowing overruns of 2nd and 3rd on non-forced plays as in this example. You sure about all the ramifications of that?
BS. It’s about criticism and it’s about being non-white, and female, and them having the gall to not be intimidated. When did he tell a white man who criticized him to go back to where they came from? “Go back to where you came from” is only used against minorities, and never Europeans since at least since when the…
As another poster indicated your stat is incorrect. But it’s also beside the point I was making. I asked about Senators, which is an entirely different ball game. It’s not a democratically representative body. Without getting into each states history, demographics and politics what is clear is the Senate is not…
???? People have already died. Numerous mass shootings inspired by the Orange Fuhrer.
Yep. It’s been too late for a long time. I’ve posted numerous times on different forums, what would it take for voter sentiment to threaten GOP Senators enough to impeach him? Never get an answer. And the farther he pushes them the more entrenched those voters get. It’s more than scary.
A couple of points. It only happens on 3rd strikes, meaning the ball was nearly always pretty close to the plate, and when dropped is usually near the catcher. Rare a batter swings at a really wild pitch that the catcher has to bail out of his position to go fetch. If it’s that wild it’s a ball and not a 3rd strike.…
Check the replies. I know the wording was sloppy, and already found the stat. But thanks.
Ok, found stats to back up my contention (as poorly worded as it was).
Yes, I just meant a ball that gets past the catcher.
Yeah, I realized that was ambiguous too late to edit. As you indicate I meant a ball that gets past the catcher, not a “passed ball”.
I have no data but I’d wager most passed balls are on the pitcher. Seems to me this rule will really amp up catcher/umpire collisions as the catcher bolts back to find the ball. Some of those fat umps are major road blocks.
I’ll 2nd that, although I even had warning. One day a co-worker came in to the office in the afternoon after coming from the theater, he had a look on his face I’ll never forget, and could only mumble, “You’ve got to see that movie.” I did, and he was right.

This got mis-filed, Clickhole is over there ---->
No doubt someone told him her DNA results showed she’s “a thousand 24th” Native American and the “stable genius” from Wharton translated that to 1000/24th. So that’s what he wrote down and has no clue it’s beyond nonsensical. And this is who we have negotiating nuclear arms agreements.
The floggings will continue until morale improves.
An accurate headline would have been “Get 2 dozen donuts for 1/2 price”.
Just take a peek inside the WH.
