Virtually all sports are like that in some way or another. If you’re not working hard to find any advantage you can get away with you’re at a disadvantage because you know the others are.

The only thing that would motivate GOP Senators to vote for impeachment is if they believed their own political or financial future was at serious risk if they didn’t.  I have no idea what it would take for the voters in those states to support impeachment.

If more Senators spoke up in favor of impeachment.

Actually that’s a different deal. Bush’s handlers manipulated him to do what they wanted, rather than ignoring what he wanted. I’m sure Trump is being manipulated as well, by a wide range of folks, including Putin.  But comparisons aren’t that informative.  We’re currently camped out beyond the edge of sanity.

Just to add to this. The Atlas Stones used in the world’s strongest man competition range from 100-150 kg. 400 lbs is 180 kg. That rock was no where close.
