Agree, but many of the stations are complex and not simple to navigate. One trick I figured out, there’s nearly always a train employee next to the turnstiles. I would go up to them and say “Sumimasen, (and the name of my destination stop)”, and they would tell me the platform number in English. Extremely helpful.
