I put together a list of a couple of ways to send yourself reminders that are a little more sophisticated than just a plain e-mail. I'm talking Dial2Do, Google Calendar, Remember the Milk, and Toodledo.

@lemongrove: I'm not an expert, but since the penalty is tied to your income as declared to the IRS, I'm sure it will be tied to you having income generated in the States. So if you're not residing and working there, i.e. have no or little income (hardship rule) from the US, you are exempt from mandatory insurance.

I like to use tr.im, is.gd, and [u.nu] for their palindrome quality. [Tr.im] allows a custom term that I use for quick access to various pages with long URLs. It also adds only 4 characters, for now, vs. the 6 with bit.ly.

A great concert site is also Jambase.com. I prefer their iPhone app over BandsInTown since it includes links to the venue, infos about the band, and customizable artist lists, all of which the BiT app is lacking.
