Absolutely. Perfect point? My now 9 year old Chevy Volt. Even now hardly anyone other than Honda offers anything like it. The 2nd Gen Volt is still the best of its kind. And yet they stopped making them.

GM has taken a bunch of risks. Their problem is when the going gets tough, they fold and cancel. Look at the Fiero. Once they updated it into a decent car, they canceled it. Look at the Solstice. My UPS yearly bill is $200,000 and it’s the dimensional weights that are creating the overcharges. If I ship a large box that weighs 5 lbs, they’ll bill me for a 30 lb box because it takes up so much space on the truck. Hard to sell large air filters that way.

Yup, I’m intimately familiar with the GMT800 having owned two variants: Chevy Silverado and GMC Yukon Denali. Both were awesome and that’s why I opted for a 2018 Escalade as my current company car. But they weren't as revolutionary as the Hy-Wire concept.
