My parents had a 1st gen tempo. Teaching the kids how to drive a manual in that poor car might have lead to it only making it 6 years in the fleet.

Tru-coat?

If used as a buttplug, does it increase gas production?

In 2003 or 2004 a former co-worker bought a wrecked Corvair for parts to fix his other car. He paid for it with a personal unsecured loan (probably in the low 20% range).

Recently had a “new" 2019 Journey as a dealer loaner. It was bad.

The Buick Encore is terrible too! I had one for a rental not long ago. I don’t know why people buy them.

I have a Prius. It makes the second car choice so much easier. Does the fun car need to have a roof? No, I got the Prius if it rains.

I’ve seen this trend as well. I called about a car earlier this week and the salesman interrupted my first inquiry to tell me it was a manual transmission. I stopped and told him I’d chat with my girlfriend and think about it. I might call him back tomorrow.

And when people went back to work, they needed work vehicles. There’s a place I drive by on a regular basis that specializes in 1 ton and up work trucks. It usually packed with inventory and usually had trucks parked in the field behind the building. Probably in the neighborhood of 150 trucks pre-covid. They have only

Valid points. I didn’t take a vacation trip in 2020 and dinners out were few and far between.

I bought a new car in 2020. My old one had 200,000+ miles and the used car market seemed a bit soft as the lockdown continued. The cars I had been watching were selling for $25-29K and I found one for just under 20K.

The EcoSport exists because someone at Ford said they weren’t making cars any more* and because you need some penalty box to get stuck with at the Budget/Avis/Enterprise counter.

My girlfriend has a 4xe Sahara. Took months to get it. Hers was built during early production. She paid just below sticker for it. It’s been a joy, save for a faulty battery control module which was replaced under warranty.

Old Campy bike stuff is just beautiful. Used to ride everywhere and since being bounced off of 2 cars, I've cut back. I have a Neuvo gruppo on an old Peugeot hanging on the wall of my office as art.

I think there needs to be some middle ground. I think the huge lots with overflow in shopping mall parking is a thing of the past. I don’t think an order only model will work for everyone. But going to a lot and wading through all of the poorly speced cars on the lot needs to end. This model leads to the salesman

I also bought a Cadillac that when new was over priced and panned. Got it last year for a great deal. Still have a Toyota as a backup...

If there's no vehicles stacking up, there's probably no manufacturer to dealer incentives, yes?

I starred it for you. I've been swapping browsers recently to even view tehjalop. My post history is also awol.

My girlfriend bought a car a few months ago. It was ordered and took a while to be delivered. I’m actually looking for a project car and came across one that is “price reduced” and after talking to the salesman for 2 minutes he stopped me and said it was a manual. I stopped and said I’d think about it...

Seriously, go put stuff in a minivan vs. an CUV and then see which suits you better. I fretted over a minivan when my kids were little and really the van was so much better for so many kid things.
