I’m going to offer a counterpoint. What information do we collectively keep on our cell phones that would be detrimental if shared (or stolen)? Do we keep account numbers, PINs, SSNs, etc? If someone had access to all this data could they use it to gain access to a bank account?

Don’t store sensitive information in a app that’s not designed to protect it, but explicitly share it. But even if I stored my Discover card PIN as a contact, would I save it under Discover card PIN and only be 4 digits?

And even non aeronautical engineers know that a high speed encounter at a steep angle with the ground-sky interface can sometimes cause a rapid unplanned disassembly accompanied by a high speed oxidation of propellant and the associated loud bang. 

I travel for business frequently. I always sync my work phone. I always reset the infotainment when I return the car. I'm looking out for others as well.

It had a narrow enough seat base to fit and allow the belts to be fastened while the top of the child seat cleared the front headrests by an inch or two. Not entirely on measurements. But, I did buy the first seat before #1 child was born. Child fit fine in said seat, seat fit fine in Altima because I measured it, seat got good reviews, and seat was a good value. Stroller selection was done similar. Does child fit in stroller? Does stroller fit in trunk? Is stroller…

Measured every car seat, stroller, and pack and play. Didn’t give up a manual to drive a van. Couldn’t really afford a van anyway. It took research, and got I kicked in the kidneys from the back seat, but I managed.

I have rented a van. That seems to work. 

I grew up with 2 sisters in a mid 80's Ford Tempo and a Nummi Corolla. Raised my 2 kids in a second gen Altima and a B5 Passat. Here’s my key, find kids stuff that fits the car not the other way round.

I could get a similar vintage and mileage Yukon (possibly even a Denali) for this kind of coin. Mileage might not be as good, but I’d bet the first service trip would make up the difference.

My SO is saving her pennies for the upcoming PHEV Wrangler. Hopefully it will have an EV later mode.

I think at one point, there was an initiative in the US for “safety vehicle” standards. Seems like bumper height was on that list. I recall a Car & Driver or Popular Mechanics cover from the early 80s or late 70s that featured that.

I’d honestly like to see inter-city/state trucks encouraged to go to inermodal trains. I see so many long haul trucks on the roads of the US. I can’t imagine they are paying their share of road use in registration and fuel tax. 

I also support the clean car initiate. I recently took a new colleague to lunch and he asked if my car was new. (I had been driving my SO's car the previous week.) I said, no. It's 7 years old and has 200,000 miles. I prefer to spend time in a clean car.
