In 1996, my grandfather had a stroke and lost vision completely in one eye and about 80% in the other. He stopped driving. His license was due to expire, so I drove him to get a state ID card instead. They gave him a license without an eye test or any questions. I asked for a state ID instead. It was too much hassle

I always get fuel at Costco on the way to work. Usually 4 or 5 empty pumps. Pick a Friday after work and I'm likely to be behind someone putting $175 in their boat on the back pump and their truck on the front pump.

And I occasionally put a mountain bike on my hitch rack. So, like 40-50 pounds.

I had a ‘83 Mazda B series truck with 58hp. It was probably 2000something pounds. I think it ran out of gear before it got to 65MPH.

I'm wondering if one of these electric or hybrid SUVs will be the Bronco.

EclipseCross. May as well make a drop top, add a turbo and throw a GSX-T badge on the back.

I grew up in the ‘80s and flew many the Chevette and Tercel.

CP. I think there needs to be a clarification between "someone else's project" and "OMGWTFBBQ were you thinking project". Not that this projet lacks value, it's just a bit far beyond the normal project. I can't even imagine the future parts hunt that will happen with this car unless it came with detailed mechanical

This is an educator? I think it works much better with a non-compressible fluid.

When I was little my father fabricated a car seat mount between the seats of a Fiat X1/9

Understood. The last CI engine I tore into was a little Perkins in a John Deere from the late70s. I'm sure your knowledge is more accurate than mine. I was simply referencing the lack of a throttle on a CI engine. Excuse me while I go put a BOV on my 6BT.

Nice!

I appreciate it as well. I didn't mean to beat up on DT and I never expected him to respond. Kudos to him.

Usually you can complain to any diesel message board about getting peanut oil residue off the injectors and that should open the door to Big Oil pushing Rudolf Diesel off the afterdeck of the SS Dresden in 1913.

Neutral: No open recalls for any of my cars. I like to keep a close track of them, just in case.

It's like the seller did that.

CP for not at least trying to clean the car. It’s like someone applying multiple selfie filters without wiping the Cheeto crumbs off their face.

That’s an awesome thought. I watched a few Cummins Repower videos this past week and their kit totally includes a throttle pedal.

No worries. I'm off to troll a Cummins board with my grammar pedantry.

Technically, he removed the throttle with the old engine. This new one may still have the linkage, but it's not connected to a throttle.
