Is this a PHEV? I'll dig through the couch cushions if it will go 30 miles on electrons and come with a sunroof.

I think there’s lots of miss information on this topic. A unloaded idling engine isn’t really a happy engine. A hybrid doesn’t need a traditional starter and most modern cars wait a revolution or 2 to add fuel and spark when starting. This reduces start-up wear. As for cooling down, the engine in my hybrid stays

That’s the bonus with some hybrids. My Prius uses an electric A/C compressor. My Father's Ford C-Max also runs the compressor with the engine off. It really frustrates me that some cars with stop-start don't run the compressor. I'm looking at you BMW X-5 with your terrible air conditioning in stop and go traffic.

I do as well. I also run for lights on to indicate I'm not a cop when I drive the Grand Marquis.

It is when it has no details about drivetrain, underbody, maintenance, repairs, etc. If all that is in order, the “no lowballers” does not apply. Most times, the reason it is included, is that the vehicle isn’t worth the asking price and someone has already offered what the car is worth. I’d bet that the offered price

Yeah, $2900 is a hard price point on a 2006 Suburban. I did find 5 in my local area under $5K and 1 for $3995 that looked like the best bet. Assuming the Volvo is perfect and needs no deferred maintenance done, it’s a better buy.

A friend used to have a base Veloster without the sunroof. It was a cave. I have since sat in one with the sunroof. I couldn't imagine having one of these without the sunroof. 

I get it. But this Volvo is still CP. I don’t see this thing making it a year without some expensive service. It also has my 3 pet peeves in any CL car ad: no mechanical photos, no service records, no lowballers. 

600 mile range is awesome! That would make my 1100 mile (round trip) weekend trips work. With level 1 charging at my destination, I should have a charged battery in 4.5 days. It’s a good thing I don’t have to make 3, 10 minute gas stops anymore. /S

My use case is similar. I have a 470 mile drive one way at least once a month. There's a good section of the drive where there's no cell coverage (mostly farm land). I don't have access to a fast charger at the other end, but there is a Tesla supercharger about 30 miles away. I typically drive around about 100 miles

I feel that there needs to be a better PHEV market. Going all BEV does not fit my use case. I’m sure there are others like me. I commute 40 miles a day and drive 1100 miles one 3 day weekend every month. I'd need a BEV and a gas car to replace my one car now.
