I always wondered if traffic lights would even be necessary in a world with 100% autonomous cars. It would seem, that they could all communicate then, they would just set an appropriate speed to each thread through every intersection and never stop. 

OK. Sell them as Infini luxury electric SUVs. I don't know how many cars they need to sell before the tax credit ends, though. 

Why would they need to order one in any of those colors? They already have 8 on the lot with the paddle shifters, VIN etched glass, pinstripe package and ToyoGuard Platinum.

I'd love to have one of those, but they don't sell them to the US. 

Nissan needs to put the extended range Leaf platform under a CUV and bring it to the USA as a new "brand" (let's just say Renault) to reset the $7500 tax credit. I think that might fix it.

I’m thinking of an Everyman car made by a non-luxury brand. Think Fiero, Sky, MR2. Do it all with a transplant from a FWD family car. Interior parts bin stuff. No carbon fiber, nothing crazy, nothing exotic, 17" wheels. Get all the replacement parts at AutoZone. Regular gas, no crazy maintenance.

Aftermarket coolers use TECs. I didn’t check the caddy I rented. Probably just blowing A/C into the seats.

When it breaks down. “Iwould get an Alfa 4C and something to tow it home in the case it breaks down.”

Think of how exciting it will be to worry about it!

Agreed! My next car will have cooled seats. After having a rental with cooled seats for 2 weeks earlier this year, they were so nice, even when it was cool outside. I could care less to have heated seats, but I understand why people like them.

In other news, IndyCar is finally going to catch up with a production 1912 Cadillac and install startes in the cars. I never understood why they didn't allow starters. 

I'm currently opposed to OnStar. Why must we put that on every car? Oh yeah, additional revenue stream.

I think a high percentage of commenters here drive cars that fit this description (where’s long Voyager when you need him). 50% of my cars do. I have a colleague with an M3 and everytime I have ridden with him, he gets in and switches off the traction control, effectively making his newish car behave like my RSX. 

OK, here’s my anecdote: I use CC religiously to avoid speeding tickets. My previous daily driver had no nannies. No ABS, manual transmission, built in 1993. Yadda yadda yadda. Driving in the rain with the CC on is all good EXCEPT if you hit a deep puddle with only 1 tire. The puddle will tend to cause the car to yaw…
