How about a textured stripe, so the driver can determine where the wheel is by feel alone. That way, he won't even need to open his eyes to feel which way the wheel is pointed.

CP. This car is in Atlanta and there are many more 1st Gen Leafs that do nearly everything better and can be had for less coin.

Leafs are the better answer for the cheap electric commuter. Lots more of them and cheaper. They also have a useful back seat and cargo area.
