*In most states.

My parents had a 4 door Tempo when I was growing up. How did you hear the rattles over the groaning engine or exhaust leaks?

She drove a manual transmission until she was in her 60s. Even then, she switched to an automatic because she couldn't find a manual in a car she wanted that suited her needs.

Driving in LA sucks. But there are many other places to drive in the West.

I’ve wondered about driving a new car with a full face helmet. It would seem that an open face helmet would be more airbag compatible.

One of mine is old enough to consent.

Tempo coupe! Back when coupes had 2 doors.

I’m wondering if Hyundai/Kia needs to sell a certain number of EVs in California to meet some sort of CARB cap and trade quota so they don’t have to pay a penalty or buy credits. If the supply of Kona/Nero EVs are limited, they may send them all to California and none to Texas. Might just be where they sell better, as

My mother had a Toyota with the floor mat recall. The fix for that at the time was to trim the gas pedal and take the driver’s WeatherTech floor mat and put it in the trunk. I do all my own maintenance. I have a 7 year old car and a 17 year old car. I’ve moved many times and not sure that either manufacturer had my correct address. Neutral: I always take care of recalls, especially safety related ones. At one point, I did wait for a recall because it involved squeaky dash trim.

A history lesson. For future designers to look back on and not repeat.

Neutral: The last time I was really concerned about where a car was built, I was catching an earful about my japcrap car. I pointed out that it was built in Tennessee and his USAtruck! was built in Canada with socialist healthcare. Probably almost got myself shot by Florida man that day.

Really? I wonder what the auto/manual take rate is for cars in India. I bet there are many Indians familiar with a manual transmission.

If I had a Chevy SS to seed, why would I want a Pontiac Torrent (Torment)?

Because money.

Now I know the problem. All I had to share was Oldsmobiles, Saabs and Hummers!

The key rack was almost entirely Nissan keys.

I usually rent from Hertz and get my pick of what's there. That trip, the client arranged an Avis rental. I arrived and they didn't have my reservation. They were short on available cars, something about Thanksgiving.
