Are you doing the calculations using miles traveled/fuel used? My last VW instrument cluster computer was always lying by about 4MPG on every tank. My current Toyota only lies by about 2.5MPG.

The EPA highway cycle test tops out at 60MPH and the initial acceleration is 0-35 in like 30 seconds.

Or to piss absolutely EVERYONE off, a Cummins 4BT and a GM TH-425 automatic and make it roll coal. You could probably sell the engine cover for enough to buy those parts.

Column shifted automatic transmission left in park during driving scenes. Seriously film industry, we know the car is on a tow rig during dialogue scenes, but at least move the shift knob out of frame.

That’s my solution. Atlanta traffic is for my Prius C. Weekend in the mountains is for my RSX.

I travel lots and always pick a Soul over an Altima. Most times I ask for one specifically in my rental request.

Yeah, but think how much exclusivity they are selling! What a low price for all that exclusivity!

Save the GT3s! Too soon?

There was a Mustang in there that didn’t even look like it was spinning into a crowd of people. Do the Mustangs on that side of the pond not have a lust for blood?

I’ll take a hybrid convertible to commute in. Hybrid all the things!

All my cars ever total over a million miles, I keep religious notes for maintenance and I don’t think I’ve used 100 pages to this point.

There are DOZENS of us!

Had a hand me down ‘94 Ranger for a bit. No air bags. I did think it had ABS on the rear. 4cyl, 5speed, A/C was the only option. I did the bed off fuel filler with my old man as well. I think someone punched holes in them as they went down the line.

A friend of mine got his first big boy job driving for an unnamed brown delivery service. After his first Christmas season with all the OT he bought a 300ZX TT. Rode with him once. He drove it WOT and full brakes, just like the truck.

What app do you use for tracking fuel economy & operating expenses?

Actually, it seems that he uses pipes to fuck handrails.

80-100K? Wait, what? My last 3 cars have done 300K, 250K and currently 180K. I’m missing this going to hell of which you speak. It is possible that my anecdotes are not a data set, but I’d be mad if I was repairing stuff as often as 80K miles on a new car.

I DD a Toyota. It’s 6 years old, 180,000 miles. Every thing works. Only normal maintenance. It’s a commute appliance. I bought it because I needed to not worry about my daily car and have a low TCO. The 250,000 mile Nissan before it was much the same save for a broken rear defroster and terrible factory motor mounts

As someone who tests displays for a living, the lag in “TV as a monitor” is terrible. Let’s not talk about TVs trying to process the “noise” on a text document.
