A 4th generation Pontiac GTO is literally a Holden V2 Monaro with Pontiac badges, an imperial dashboard, and left hand drive. The V2 Monaro is based on the VX Commodore, which is the basis for the VU Ute. The VX is the Mommy, the V2/GTO and the VU are the offspring brothers.
