At least they say "Yes, there were witches, but some of them were good and killed anyway"; they didn't go the downright insulting route The Conjuring took ("Yes there were witches in Salem, and they sacrificed babies (and, implied, it was a good thing they were all murdered)").

In my experience in the American academic world, Henry IV Part I is discussed more than Richard III. R3 seems to be seen more as a "fun" play than H4P1, and therefore less worthy of study.

Or the television adaptation of my favorite FMV game (featuring Christopher Walken and a young Paul Giamatti!)

I was only familiar with Leykis by name before the Poehler episode, and I still listened to it too many times. Leykis is so emblematic of a certain nauseating kind of person that it works regardless. I loved the new one, too.

Like a more depressed version of You're in the Picture, then.

I believe the studio audience were the shits that were in that "fuck the critics" spot.

I guess I'll add Harding to the list of "authors that as an English major focusing on post-WWII literature and an aspiring novelist of whom I should have heard".

I didn't like Border Radio, but I'm shocked to find this level of vitriol on the site about it.

Nico Muhly

Specifically, it's at the beginning of the newest episode of Children's Hospital, if you want to track it down.

I've listened to that bit probably ten or twelve times now… I'm going to go listen to it again.

You can use this line when someone praises an UnderDome, but if I were you, I'd wait until somebody slams an UnderDome.

I remember watching this show with my friends and calling out every Dutch angle. We had to stop around season 3 because they just got too constant.

Mock Pockerman

That line towards the end of the trailer where she tried to sound frightening was just adorable.
