Oh he flies for ExpressJet? Now it all makes sense...

Off-topic? Clearly, you followed the axiom "The first step on the path to Success is to leave the path." Also kudos for making me passionate about changing something.

@geistkoenig: Volkswagons? HOW DARE YOU! Have you no knowledge of the famed Terlingua Racing Team? Of a desert ghost town with Chili festivals, run by the man himself, Carroll Shelby? Have you no shame in suggesting that Lucifer (yes, that's his name) be posted on some German economobile?

@DasHoon: Oh, and don't even get me started talking about the whole F-22 Raptor ordeal. "What's the quickest way we can get rid of a few billion dollars and have nothing to show for it?"

@Don Fehlio: Yay! I was going to stay out of the Feces Cyclone that I had apparently created, but glad to see that at least one person likes them too.

@HandyHank: The UAV...wait, not the correct acronym anymore... "Remote Piloted Vehicle" was actually a brilliant idea and should have been started 20 years earlier. I have some ethical issues with arming them, but government's gonna do what the government's gonna do.

@Møbius: For some reason, your statement made me think of this.

@frogberg: The Explorer completely replaced the Bronco II in 1990.

Yes, this exactly what we need! We didn't spend nearly enough money and lives building the Osprey, so let's make it smaller and more dangerous.

@stuffelse: The second gen was everything that the Explorer wasn't meant to be. There was also something about Firestone and rollovers and yadda, yadda, yadda, now we all have federally mandated wireless tire pressure monitoring systems.

@irishman128: I have a lead on a 64 that's been languishing in a possibly abandoned junkyard. Too bad I'm broke and have no place to put it.

The original, the genesis, the vehicle that coined the term SUV; the Ford Explorer. Based on the Ranger, it could be had with 2 or 4 doors and 2 or 4 wheel drive. Sure there were some issues, but the Explorer was so bad-ass it got to be in Jurassic Park!

@irishman128: Old Wagoneers before they had AMC in the title!

I need everyone who has viewed this footage to look at the red dot. It's just a routine eye exam.

@Ray Wert: Well, I did say that I needed to learn how to format... It's a Dead Man's Learning Curve!

A hearty handshake to those who made it into the final round. You have shown yourselves worthy of writing an article with an attention-grabbing headline and lede, and spreading that article around the interwebs like an outbreak of SARS or the deadly Bieber Fever.
