One of the best significant-other games I've ever played (in my experience) had been Costume Quest. No seriously! It makes a great co-op game! Spelunky is GODLIKE when it comes to couch co-op. Supports up to 4 players co-op and a million ways to die just to get back at it and die again, in a totally new random way. Imho is the best couch co-op i've played, ever.
