Soccer and basketball are on different levels of flopping. I don’t watch football. Hockey is my love. And hockey has stiff fines for flopping. Plus, hockey has this whole system of paying people back for being pathetic.

I didn’t say I hated anything besides flops. But could someone who understands the rules hate soccer because of flops? Sure. What does basketball have to do with that? Nothing.

That’s why you teach them! My 4 month old daughter took swimming lessons - granted, it’s technically just floating lessons - to prepare against the very very scary chance that she could fall in our pool.

Real life is messy. Should she have done that? Sure. Was she ready? Doesn’t look like it. Some of the worst things surface when everything is “worked out”. Life doesn’t fit into die-cut holes. You chisel away at it till your last breath.
