Oh, right. Though I still don't know if that was what Hatake was working on, as opposed to his immortality virus. I suppose working on one project doesn't preclude also working on the other project. I mean, that base has seemingly been there for a very long time, so numerous projects were happening all the time.

Actually, it looks like Balleseros went off on foot only after his snowmobile ran out of gas. The confusing part there is that the snowmobile is clearly pointing towards the Helix base at that point, yet Anana was arguing with Toluk on how to find Sergio. Also confusing is how they then ended up at a Nunavut turn-off,

I guess maybe that means Ilaria got the Narvik-B canister, and Alan got the cure canister when Julia kicked him off the chopper. Ilaria already had Narvik-A, which they deployed in Puerto Rico. Since Julia knows how to create the cure herself, Ilaria probably doesn't care that Alan got that canister.

I'll pretend that this is the truth.

LOL okay yes, but at the time they were trying to pry information out of Spencer. Maybe after they retrieved Jaye they could have gone that route (especially Hatake). However, they then made the unwitting mistake of assigning Peter to watchdog duty.

… the show seems to have worked hard to do away with everything that made it worth watching in the beginning …

I think that had to do with Narvik-B. Peter was the first human to successfully metabolize Narvik-B without dying, and so was the first human vomit zombie. I believe that's what Hatake considered progress.

I think the first one is a blatant lie that Hatake made up to cover up the fact that Jaye is actually still alive. The second one is closer to the real version of events, I think, though obviously there are many details that haven't been revealed (specifically how Hatake hid Julia from Ilaria, or how he convinced them

Anana thinks Brazilians are like plants: if you move them outside of their hardiness zones, they wilt in the wrong climate. Is that what Team Banana is all about? Anana's trying to grow Sergio's man root? *badum-tish*

…Huh.

Ugh, that does sound exactly like this show. I guess, if that's the case, no one learned anything from Doreen's demise. She died with a bunch of information that she wasn't able to pass on to anyone. If Hatake dies, there goes his gift to humanity.

I hope they'll keep it locked in the basement, where it belongs.

Speaking of things that happened in rapid succession, can you explain the outfits in the article image above? This was when they decided to invade the Security Room on Level G. For some reason, they took that as a cue to … wear smocks. Why?

Oh, there was a commenter who actually described Sarah as an example of the show's "competence porn". I was pretty baffled by that assertion, because that commenter was actually serious. Cancer Sarah was competence porn?!

Balleseros destroyed the communication antenna to prevent Alan from uploading the Narvik data to the CDC. Alan was talking about having the CDC examine their findings, and Balleseros wasn't gonna let that information get out. I'm guessing that Ilaria didn't want the CDC to develop the cure independently and out of

They better bring back the zombies next year. They were the only thing I found interesting this season. The immortals are pretty meh, but that may only be because they were presented as a background mystery for the time being. Narvik-B still needs lots of explanations.

I liked how the writers decided to twist that knife further with the pre-credits segment.

As @jewdetective:disqus noted, Alan was paying off whoever gave him the Ilaria access card (the waiter?). He put down waaay more than €70—I saw 100 (x1), 50 (x1), 20 (x6), and some other denominations I couldn't see.

I could be okay with the idea of immortals controlling humanity from the shadows, but Ilaria is not off on a good start. This show played that hand in very disappointing ways (boardroom lingo, corporate power structures, and the triteness of world domination). The set-up for next season (Farragut 007, Occupy Ilaria

I think the blurb for next week's Continuum (US) premiere was the only moment during this episode that I actually perked up. Canada will be airing their 4th episode two days later, and I don't know where UK is at with their schedule.
