Ah, okay. I thought you meant it may have been in his mouth. Or not.

@avclub-12a6b31534819f646bd9bf5e8a99756d:disqus Well, I don't know that Abigail is dead, like I don't know Miriam Lass is dead, but there was a lot of Abigail's blood on the kitchen floor. I'm gonna work off the idea that she's lost too much blood (maybe from her hacked-off ear) and that she's dead, until/unless the

I don't see them getting rights to use Clarice next season at all. As Bryan Fuller says:

Yeah, I didn't expect to see Gina Torres at all for the rest of the season, but it is disappointing that they haven't acknowledged her towards the end here. Last they mentioned her was when Jack mentioned that she's away for work. I do expect to see her next season though … for all of five minutes of screen time.

Was that Franklyn Froideveaux staring at the back of Hannibal's head? Tobias looks great in that dress with his hair down. XD

I would hope that this show would not stoop to something as mediocre as du Maurier being an enabler for Hannibal's proclivities. She knows, so she eats his cooking, and she willfully hides all this from authorities? That would be like revealing she's been dead all along and that Jack, Alana, and Hannibal are engaging

Yes, I don't see du Maurier accommodating murderous psychopathy in Hannibal. She knows he's sociopathic, but I don't believe she would willfully ignore serial murders if she suspected such.

Yes, I'm on this side of the fence as well. The show likes to raise the paranoia level, and I think that's the game with these ambiguous scenes. Does she know? Does she partake? Is she afraid for her life? Does she delight in knowing? Those questions breed horror, and I think that's all that is supposed to be. I don't

@avclub-eede55069a8d3430b54730901f49c230:disqus Will drank water from the faucet and took some pills before throwing up. If the ear was in his mouth, he would have immediately gagged as he tried to swallow. Something the size of an ear is not anything that accidentally slips into your esophagus without being noticed.

I think the Alana moment came across as a bit of a cliché (they were just missing the pouring rain), and that detracted from its effect. I could see what they were going for, but I felt it was unnecessary coming off of the more potent scene between Alana and Jack. I had zero response to her meltdown as a result.

I was only wondering if they would play "All By Myself" as she wailed in her car in the pouring rain… but tell me more about this controversy: is it truly controversial? Or were you feeling hesitant to put forth this opinion, which may elicit disagreement? Is that the lion in your room? *leans back in chair, tents

But does Hannibal know that she knows he knows she knows?

The way to create a convincing lie is to provide a morsel of truth and allow others to fill in the rest with mistaken assumptions. This way, they participate in the lie and convince themselves that you said a certain truth, even though you said no such thing. Hannibal genuinely regrets how everything turned out … but

Yep, I think they deliberately left Sukar in a comatose state to bring him back later. I think they're gonna use him to resolve Irisa's psychic power storyline. I still think her powers are because of nanites.

Hah, that would be amusing to find out that their divine visions are simply nanites communicating with each other. Maybe some Votan flooded the Irathients with nanites in an attempt to clean them up during hypersleep, since they're considered dirty.

@avclub-b894e4330aeaa46a373292d17c62984d:disqus Are you speaking generally? Like, usually children need to be taught how their actions have consequences, and they need to be encouraged to express their empathy as kindness. Normal kids grow out of their cruelty if they're shown why such behavior is bad.

@avclub-ee2e9e1447fcb49c96e19af584ca11b4:disqus Yeah, I actually wasn't concerned with how the Vulcans came across on Enterprise, hence why I was baffled at the time by some of the reactions to it. I felt like the Surak and T'pau stories were concessions served up to placate those concerns, which came across like the

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus Well, okay, if you had the option to take everyone living on four or five planets, then, yes, sure, you might be magnanimous enough to grab all of them. However, as I understand it, huge numbers of Indogene politely accepted their upcoming deaths to allow only their best

LOL yeah I dunno what to tell you. That's what they went with as a delivery system. Maybe it was cushioned with anti-grav units … because anti-gravity isn't valuable and couldn't be better used elsewhere. <_<
