I used to hand wash my car every week. Then it was every month. Then it was once every 6 months. I think I went a whole year without washing it.

great, so not only the anxiety of a battery going flat, but the anxiety of not knowing where the charge station will be?

‘95ish s10 truck. the tail light angles just like that, and if I imagine hard enough, it looks like it’s burgundy color, and that was a color for those trucks. chevy trucks in general are a dime a dozen down here, and s10 trucks are no exception.

amber lights in position to headlamps, and tail light shape are the best way to tell from this crappy pic.

this article is rustling my jimnies.

Is that yellow, or is it mustard. To my eye, it has a very orange hue.

I keep it in 60s in summer, 70s in winter, us gingers are especially sensitive to cold temps.

I bet they switched from a 6 volt to a 12 volt electrical system, which we all know, 1966 was the last year of the 6 volt. So rather than finding some 12 volt headlamps to fit the 1966 fenders, they just swapped to 1967 fenders which had 12 volt headlamps to begin with.

In Texas you can’t get a ticket for being in the left lane unless it is specifically posted “Left lane for passing”, or “slower traffic keep right”. These signs are never posted in the city, and usually not where there are more than 2 lanes traveling in the same direction.

<Clarkson> today we’ll be testing the speed of the trailhawk against two of its most likely competitors, the old and busted Audi, and a TVR, which was busted from the factory, and since Jeep is owned by Chrysler which is owned by Fiat, it too is going to be busted soon enough. Obviously the stig has chosen the Audi,

the end is neigh? Is that because the bronco is also a horse?

GenX had their time, being that you (and I) were born at the end of the 70s, we don’t really fit with GenX, nor do we fit with the Millennials, so we just deal with being the in-betweeners. We quietly enjoy the fruits of both generations. We understood Nirvana and also know how social media works.

same reason you keep your car in a gear when racing. if you put your clutch in and apply the brakes, now you have to let the clutch back out at some point. at mid corner at the limits of adhesion, this will unbalance the car and likely send you off track. in bad weather, you might need to apply some power quickly,

the primary reason for keeping your engine in gear when racing is not for engine braking. you are downshifting to keep your transmission in the gear that suits the powerband upon exit of the corner. you keep the engine in gear as much as possible so you don’t upset the car’s balance in the corner.

done correctly you won’t wear out your clutch prematurely. rev match on every downshift ever.

your dad must have been doing it wrong if engine braking caused him to replace a transmission. do it right, and it’s not going to harm anything.

no one is ever able to provide a suitable reason why I shouldn’t skip gears. and then I have thousands of examples of the same exact engines being mated to different transmissions with different gear ratios in different cars. not to mention a very specific example, in the ws6 trans am. it had a skipshift transmission,

why is anyone at all shocked by this? as soon as Disney decided to start their own streaming service, the writing was in pencil. As soon as other netflix/marvel series started hitting the floor, the writing should have been plain to see in ink.

not entirely sure how the arbitration thing is going to work out for them.

I would get this in a heartbeat for my wife that loves SUVs, but still makes me drive her allow and boring SUV
