That's the strange thing about Fate. Each route starts the same but branches off into it's own unique story. But because each route tells you more about the characters and the world you don't get a full appreciation of them until you've been through all three stories. Dream Drop Distance plays similarly. The Riku/Sora switching mechanic makes for a decent pass and play with a friend too.

I just beat Birth by Sleep and it's incredible. I would recommend playing KH2, and then that.
