Great episode.
Great episode.
I expect it’ll get some hate but I really liked the whole double wedding at the end. Nice to see their relationships bought full circle from that 1st crossover where Oliver told Barry that guys like him don’t get the girl. THEY DID.
I thought this was the weakest episode of the crossover tbh. The Earth X stuff dragged a little but was really disturbing to watch at first. Paul Blackthorne was really hammy-ing it up as Nazi Lance, which was painful.
Exactly. It’s setting up a wedding, clearly. I’ve commented on the weekly reviews how impressed I’ve been with how they’ve handled Olicity and I really think they’re getting them right this time but this plot point required a bit of angst that I think made sense with their history.
Eh. It didn’t bother me here it was literally a few scenes scattered across 2 hours and because I know they’re building to something. I genuinely think it’s to set up the final 2 episodes of the crossover and then they’ll just be together.
I think they’ve been doing a great job with Olicity this season of Arrow tbh. I think they dialled up the drama in the crossover because they’re setting up their wedding.
Which is fine. Just don’t ship Nazis.
Really enjoyed this. Great mix of action and character/relationship moments.
Stephen Amell once again proving that he has no chemistry with anyone but Emily Bett Rickards. Good lord that Oliver/Kara kiss was like watching a couple of planks of wood. And people are actually shipping that? YOU KNOW THEY’RE NAZIS, RIGHT? Gross gross gross.
Agreed. She’s become very one note.
Ok episode. I think the show is suffering from having two many characters now and trying to give them all something to do. The pacing gets thrown right off. For example, that scene with Dinah and Quentin was completely unnecessary, just like Quentin’s character now. They’ve basically kept him around because of Evil…
Now that Thea is back, can we get rid of both Canaries please? I’m sick of both of them.
I couldn’t stand Rene at the start of last season, probably because they were pushing him so hard. But now I think the less is more approach is working to the point where I’d be ok with seeing more of Rene now.
This pains me to admit, being a massive fan of Slade and Manu’s portrayal of him, but this episode (and the last one) was so boring. I almost switched off which actually has only ever happened once with the gun control episode last season.
I never thought I’d say this about a Slade episode because he’s one of my favourites but holy crap, I was bored. There was some moments of brilliance - that Slade kill streak was amazing - but on the whole the episode lagged? Probably not helped by the utterly pointless flashbacks.
I think they were just trying to inject some funny into the scenes and they used Felicity to do it. This always happens when she crosses over. It’s comedic relief to the max.
I didn’t get the same enjoyment from this episode as everyone else, unfortunately. I adore Felicity and was hyped to see her crossover and get some friendshippy scenes with Iris. As always EBR has brilliant comedic timing and I enjoyed the interplay with her and Iris, however brief that was! Unfortunately, I feel like…
I still don’t know whether to trust Alena which I think is kinda awesome, lol. She could be telling the truth or she also might be part of Cayden James’ long term plan for Felicity to take the fall for Helix and whatever else he has planned. Sometimes this show can be predictable so I’m liking not knowing which way it…
Felicity has barely had any focus this season so far so this episode was deserved. I don’t know why this always devolves into insults about the Felicity show tbh. And with you mentioning Iris, do you have a problem with female leads?
I hope it is here to stay, especially if they continue to write them like they did in this episode. I truly thought they were magic together. It surprised even myself, lol.
