Yeah but here in ‘Murica they’d need to sell this with at least a V2 or no-one would buy it.

Well, I did get out of bed this morning and think, “You know, it’s time to buy a rally car.”
That’s a Subaru, not a Mitsubishi.
A reputable and honest business owner in our community owns a car lot. He had a strong demand for decent used stock from folks with shit credit. He self financed his “buy here, pay here” operation, and eventually went with the ignition disable devices. He claimed that it massively reduced the drama and nastiness of…
These companies have found a way to make auto loans to people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to borrow two bits. It’s high risk so interest rates are higher. Take away the ability to do things like disable the cars and the interest rates would go higher yet reducing the pool of customers. Possibly to the point where…
You seem awfully put off by them simply using a measure to ensure they can get their property back when people don’t pay their payment. I see nothing wrong with this. The people that get their car taken in these programs are almost always the ones that should be driving a used 5 thousand dollar car but instead they…
So what are you proposing from that morale high horse? Don’t lend money to people with poor credit? Or lend them money, but charge a much higher interest rate to cover the potential loss? Or are you saying, lend them money at the same low rate, and eat the loss?
If you were running the company would you not use this option if available? It is a business not a charity.
What about the 70% of the people that are able to get a vehicle because of this company that might not have otherwise because of their terrible credit? Isn’t this company providing a service that is voluntarily accepted by their customers? Why all the moral outrage?
The disabling of vehicles is what makes you mad? That’s the part I don’t have an issue with. Once you’ve missed 2 or 3 payments, you shouldn’t be able to drive the car.
So, they’re not really financing cars, they’re renting them out, payments optional?
With those kinds of numbers its just renting cars to people.
So I wonder who the first person will be to comment “Just don’t get bad credit and make your payments on time, otherwise you deserve it?” With a lot of self gratifying head nodding starring it.

That’s People’s Democratic Republic of California to you, sir!

I wonder if it’s pronounced “me-am-uh” like Miami, OK.
One more week and then racing comes back! Does anyone know if streaming is available for The Daytona 24? Fox Sports, need I say more.....
How do they keep the Mustangs from careening off the runway and into parked aircraft?
I pronounce it "eta". COME AT ME BRO.
