See, it all makes sense when you realize that the chief motivation for much of his base (who cannot grasp policy, math, basic logic, etc. - not when they have baseless PRIDE, baby) is, quite literally, “owning teh libz.”

To paraphrase Upton Sinclair, “It is hard to get a person to contradict the boss, when his salary depends on him being a spineless sycophant.”

The moment when you realize that nobody will remember the years of public service and all the good things you did for people. When you realize that all you will be remembered for is two months of feckless fealty to a fucking moron.

At this point the only people who would drink bleach are his supporters. To them I say “CHUG-A-LUG mothafuckers! Make sure you drink the Clorox and not that diluted dollar store shit. Go for quality!”

Joan Armatrading vs. Joni Mitchell--FTFY

Hell I’d go as far as that they mostly take stupid people, thanks to the whole legacy system. When I see someone went to an Ivy League college my default bias is to downgrade my estimation of them.

Yeah, sometimes I enjoy fucking with them. They get adorable when they realize that they, too, are capable of being triggered. :D

What’s amazing is, for all the time they spend trolling on Kinja sites, they don’t understand the instant invisibility cloak that gets dropped on them with a click of the dismiss. I don’t have time to get emotionally invested when oops, dismiss! where did that simple-ass racist, pinhead, trolling, crotch-wart,

I guess my question is why is the USA remaining a white centric nation a negative?

Give them out, Michael...

By extension, our law enforcement agencies are now officially terrorist organizations.

Pud-knocker (LOL) shows up all day trying desperately to stir up some stupid shit, thinking (in its mediocre way) that’s how to become relevant. Uh, no.

Maybe I’m odd or hang around with a different crowd, but for years, I’ve only ever heard of the “Tulsa Race Riot” in the context of “the Tulsa Race Riot was nothing but a massacre of black people.”

There’s no way I can show the Watchmen to sixth graders in my district; there’s a board policy against anything not rated

Their answer will be “whatever they want”
Again, they’ll say it was a war over the principle of states rights, not the specific right to own people. They say it could have been any other states right that was infringed and there still would have been a war. It’s just a “coincidence” that it was over this situation.

Part of this ignorance is white people’s reluctance to learn about history in the first place. I’ve met more than a couple of white people (all avid readers) who have said things like, ”Oh, I don’t read history.”,or “I don’t like history.”

Yeah, I grew up in SC where they are OBSESSED with the fact that they were first to secede from the Union. I’m not exactly sure how this happened but I was always skeptical of their version of Civil War education - like I remember essay questions where I had to list all the reasons that the Civil War wasn’t actually

My experience was more or less the same. I can’t remember discussing the reason for the Civil War but most of the schooling was on the battles, not its cause. I distinctly remember finishing up the Civil War unit in high school by spending multiple days watching Gone With The Wind. Then we jump to civil rights era and

I think that’s certainly a viable rejoinder to a young person aping that narrative out of ignorance—a sort of a Socratic dismantling of the lie. But there’s no point in arguing with the racist asshat that capes for this argument. That person can only be derided, ignored, or fought and defeated.

welcome to the US, where history is written by the losers!
