Its not just closer to San Jose. It ABUTS San Jose.

I could drive a round trip from San Francisco OVER A FUCKING BRIDGE to Oakland and make it back before I could get to Santa Clara from San Francisco one-way.

My County Supervisor (essentially a city councilman) wrote an opinion piece on Sunday complaining that his colleagues on the Board of Supervisors were complaining about the lack of transparency. And yes, he was on the host committee.

Our mayor isn’t into fiscal prudence or transparency. He ran essentially unopposed for relection last fall and still had a weak showing. He’ll be indicted by the time his term is up.

The best interests of the city were served when we told the Yorks to pound sand down to the burbs. The Giants wanted to stay in SF and built their own stadium out of pocket. The Warriors are going to do the same when they come back into the city. Its annoying as hell that the Yorks moved the team basically to another

I’m going to take a guess and say you are not a lawyer.

That implies that Spanos was interested in building his own stadium.

I leave my cash in North Lake thankyouverymuch.

They are wrong at least 50% of the time. You are better off going with “Its winter. It has snowed in the past. It will snow again.”

SF in January...50s and sunny or raining

From the perspective of someone who lives in a west coast city where its sunny and in the 50s today...I have a case of bottled water and a box of clif bars in my hall closet at all times for earthquakes. When my mother moved here from the east coast, I had to talk her out of waiting until it happened to pick them up.

Losing?

We’re from Russia...we’re good until it matters.

Are you suggesting that Luke Walton has been doing that in Oakland?

I broke up with cable last year. I started using Sling for a few months. Their stream was awful though. I eventually noticed that you can use your Sling login to access ESPN through their app on Amazon Fire, Apple TV or even a mobile app with a Chomecast. The ESPN stream was great, so I stopped watching ESPN on Sling

Yes

No you can’t get local baseball or hoops OTA in Northern California. Comcast owns those broadcast rights and only makes them available to cable subscribers.

A number of stadia have been privately built over the last 20 years. AT&T Park in SF, the Verizon Center in DC, Gillete Stadium in Mass, etc. It hasn’t stopped dumb cities like Santa Clara or Miami from getting into public ownership deals.

Smith Center, because they don’t get out of their seats.

The Metropolitans isn’t working for you?
