Shortened for QOTD: “Milliseconds be damned; give me a gated manual.”

Youre right, but still- automated manual is automated. Single, dual, not really important at this level. If you’re on the track and milliseconds count, by all means, get a SMG or DSG ‘box. For us, we like the mechanical movement and precision of a metal gate, milliseconds be damned.

Have seen the V8 6-speed manual versions around 70k .

Still amazeballs that the base V6 makes more HP than the SS did last time I owned one (it was a ‘98).

Couldn’t justify the GX(also liked roll down window and gate over swing out door). Have a 4th Gen 4R limited. Its the wife’s. After the Audi (may be a few years), I am going to go actual sportscar / crewcab truck. Tacoma/F150/blah blh... and 911, F-type, V8 Vantage?

RR doesn’t count?

seems unnecessary.

Came on here looking for my own car.

my 2016 miata is optioned as a used 911.

More soul than any camry, altima, accord, etc.

the 2nd gen was a lot better than the first gen, and still somehow crap.

I had the same experience. I sold my 2011 Frontier because it was a hollow tupperware box. Reserved “high end SUV” to rent while car shopping. They gave me a 2012 Xterra. ::damnit::

Kimi. This should be the only answer.

Mine would be a base WRB BRZ $25,695

the base model. and a s/c or turbo.

Smoke doesn’t mean fade. They may have been well within the heat range for safe operation. I’ve seen steel rotors glowing red and still had good pedal.

What would you compare the Aprilia / MV Agusta to then ?

would rather have

for a 99% street car, you’d have a hard time selling me on an options package that would cost 2x the price of my winter beater.

a buddy had one. it ate 2 transmissions before he sold it as scrap. It was 7 years old.
