For people who always show off their fancy advanced degrees, it’s strange they would fuck up.

Go ahead and tell us what your job is and it’s requirements so we can talk about what you’re “worth” and how some 10 year old can do what you do for a fraction of the cost.

Please tell us what your job and earnings are so we can parse your work and talk about how you’re overpaid.

So you’re saying people here disagree with issues.

I always love when conservatives bring out strawman arguments. Since there were people here totally claiming the owner has no right to do this.

That sounded great and all until I realized Seattle scored more than 17 points in the same game.

My favorite comment on NCAA amateruism was reading a transcript of a twitter chat with Mark Emmert. One person asked: “Who is your favorite player in NCAA ‘14?” Mine is WR #7.”

Let me ask you this about freedom rhetoric. What war outside of the War 1812 and Revolutionary War was American freedoms at stake?

You do realize the Russians crushed the German military. By 1942, Germany was fully retreating. We didn’t enter the war in Europe until 1943.

It should also be noted Ajax supporters wave Israeli flags (they are known in Holland as the Jews since they apparently had a lot of Jewish supporters in their beginnings). Strangely, the club (which has won 4 Champions Leagues/European Cups) has never been fined by UEFA for it.

The difference: North Carolina is far more expendable than Texas (I realize it’s a city ordinance)

Any time sports team owners talk about the “revenue” publicly funded stadiums bring to the public I think of a lemonade stand. It would be like a couple kids bragging about making $15 in “profit.” This ignores the fact they spent $100 from their parents for supplies.

It’s obviously not what is being quoted but fans tend to spend the weekend in Charlotte (or whatever town is hosting). It’s probably a 1/4 of what they claim but that’s still a lot of money.

This issue is a microcosm of the internal crisis that has been brewing for a while in the GOP: business interests vs. religious interests. The only issue those two sides can agree on is that poor people need to be punished.

South Beach is nice as are the tourist spots in Orlando but go outside of those areas and you might as well be in Alabama.

West Virginia, Alaska, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Georgia (outside of Atlanta), South Carolina, Texas (if you’re not white and/or poor), Utah, Wyoming, Nevada (outside of Vegas),

Wait, that would mean pro sports teams in the US and their billionaire owners would have to “earn” their place in the big leagues? The Europeans have it all wrong, it should be like capitalism in America where everyone works for the collective good of the industry (sharing revenues and giving your worst performing

Libertarianism can essentially be boiled down to: I don’t want to pay taxes or follow the rules of everyone else but I’m perfectly happy letting everyone else pay for my roads, military, etc.

That’s like a relative who was in the military and talks about how he’s a huge military supporter and at the same time claims he’s a libertarian. The irony has never struck him.

Based on the Founding Fathers (at least most of them), I would hardly call us a libertarian country. A lot of people might claim to be but like most libertarians, what you say and what you actually do are quite different.
