You really think wanted posters don't come with an implication of guilt? No offense, but that's kind of a naive interpretation. I can't really think of a way to inform the public "Hey, look out for this person; he/she is wanted on X charge" without implying that they actually did it. If that weren't allowed, then you

I don't understand this whole sentiment where he has some case against the county for putting his picture up. None of the people on the Creep of the Week page are convicted. They're fugitives; the page is set up so that people can call in tips as to their whereabouts. It's no different than a Wanted poster. Hell,

If that's the device's purpose, then it won't serve that purpose. The heat conductivity of aluminum is miles away from that of air. It won't give you any idea of what such and such temperature will feel like. It's two completely different sensations.

Except touching an aluminum block at X temperature is completely different than exposure to air at X temperature. So this "haptic" feedback won't reference any real-life sensation you'd be familiar with.

Not so much when you're floating in water.

Someone dumped out their compost?

Is this how they look? I get mine pre-chopped, shrink-wrapped, and double packaged in a little plastic tub. Combine that with one of those Asian sauces, a pre-boiled egg, and some noodles, and you have Chinese food! I wish the egg came pre-chopped, though.

Careful how you define "backwater". There are lots of doctors in the USA that are just as bad when it comes to overprescribing.

Yeah, they could lengthen the lever arm while still keeping it a rotary motion. They would just need to add a crank handle.

"Did you really pause to read this?" Awesome.

I guess my point was that you wouldn't be able to see anything because of the way the camera is mounted. It's not edited out because it's uninteresting or something. It's edited out because it's so jittery and unstable as to be useless.

3:07 you can see the shadow of his handheld camera rig. Tsk, tsk.

If it were all dog-cam footage, it would make you want to throw up. That's why it's edited this way in the first place. I bet 99% of the video that came from the dog cam was unusable, and even the usable part had to be slowed down to dampen the motion.

It's called retinal adaptation. Basically your cones (the color-sensing cells of your retina, of which we have three types: red, green, blue) will readjust after a certain color is shining on them for a long time, and the signals they send to your brain will diminish. In other words, if you stare at something red for

Agreed on the two-stage lever. Toss out your one-stage opener and get one of these.

I dare say this is the most metal thing ever to happen to a model plane enthusiast.

Kinda funny, then, that in most of the shots, you can clearly see the handle coming apart when it lands. The whole thing bends open at the joint between the two segments.

Maybe I'll make one of these.

It is a fairly common type of plastic, except they got it from the future.

I'm getting one to wear, one for safekeeping, and another just to drop on the floor somewhere conspicuously.
