If that's the device's purpose, then it won't serve that purpose. The heat conductivity of aluminum is miles away from that of air. It won't give you any idea of what such and such temperature will feel like. It's two completely different sensations.

Except touching an aluminum block at X temperature is completely different than exposure to air at X temperature. So this "haptic" feedback won't reference any real-life sensation you'd be familiar with.
