@Settings: Also, it wasn't fantastic. Had the earth made a truly fantastic journey, we probably would have been thrown off, or burned, or frozen to death. I'm glad it made the usual journey.

@Flako_FigZ: A straight shot, right to the satellites of Jupiter.

These are called "orreries," for those who wondered. Always thought that was an interesting, weird word.

@inkyness: Yeah, that system will never happen in the USA. Our states regulate alcohol sales and consumption, but generally the actual selling is done by private establishments. There are some areas that are completely dry, though, where you can't buy alcohol at all.

@streeeeetch: Define "survives." It was dead when they found it. Its skeleton survived.

@civ4player: Lots of stuff can chill in your colon if it's indigestible. Chewed fingernails are common.

Just a question for those who know about cell phones: Could a watch pick up the cellular time signal from towers for free, keeping it at the correct time always? Or would it have to have some sort of key or contract? Also, would the necessary antenna and hardware be compact enough to fit in a wristwatch?

@heroineworshipper: Um, no. He got raped, and it made him sick, and he killed himself because he couldn't or wouldn't get help.

To all who would say that this man was selfish, I would reply that these are not the words of a mentally sound man. These are the words of a mentally ill man.

@napilopez: I'm not questioning your fanhood or knowledge in any way. And I'm also not trying to say that one is better than the other. You just said that you couldn't think of a person quite as influential as Morricone, and I wanted to bring up Stalling's name.

@napilopez: Two words: Carl Stalling. Don't laugh: his influence is everywhere. Used unusual sounds (either non-orchestral sounds, or coaxed unusual sounds from orchestral instruments). Changed musical styles/genres/tempos mid stream.

@NateZ28: Only if they wanted to make a viral music video out of the components.

Psst...rhodium and silver are not compounds.

I use Google Maps (or a paper map), figure out my route, study it until I feel confident, then go. I'll occasionally use GPS to tell me how far I am from a key turn or landmark, but otherwise, I resist it. I've always had a good sense of direction, and I make a point of keeping it sharp.

I'm a veterinarian, and some of this is either misleading or untrue. There are now several competing pet insurance companies, and they offer many different levels of coverage. Most of them now offer wellness plans, and you can go up from there, all the way up to comprehensive coverage. And they have gotten quite a bit

@anitesh.jaswal: I'm not sure what I'd do with a 7-speed manual. I think on Top Gear they said that the Veyron's 7th gear becomes necessary above 240mph or something like that; besides that, the only reason it kicks in is for better fuel consumption.

@Kaiser-Machead: They have the setups where you get an adjustable seat, force feedback pedals, force feedback wheel, and shifter, as well as a screen mount in the front end. Unfortunately, those all cost a few thousand dollars.
