Haha, that is very kind! Since then I’ve always carried a healthy sort of suspicion about the idea of ghosts being real, as I always did, but I am also always worried about old buildings/landmarks thinking ‘please don’t prove me wrong let me live in this liminal space of not being ENTIRELY sure.’

All spooky stories aside, I’m a total evangelist for leaving yourself hikers’ signs. Woods and mountain paths which look straightforward can end up being deceptively convoluted.
