I would wager that most people hating on Banksy have not actually been to Bristol and seen the overall context of his work or the work of his contemporaries. Bristol is absolutely covered in the most amazing art I’ve ever seen and all of it’s commentary is beautifully stitched together. If there is a criticism, it is…
If he was one of the Gallaghers we would’ve known a long time ago.
Thank you for saying that! I’m pretty astounded at how many people have given me crap for saying something I thought was pretty basic and agreeable.
It’s not ageist to wonder if someone has dementia, but it is ageist to phrase that question/accusation the way I’ve been reading it this past half hour.
I don’t like the ageism in some of the speculation about McCain’s terrible question. Let’s remember his was the last question at the end of a very long hearing. I was tired and frazzled too (and still in my PJs, looking like absolute shit). I think what’s important here is less how capable McCain’s mind is, but how…
“When the station tried to contact the property owner, Davis Rose, he hung up and reportedly refuses to respond to voicemails.”
Who doesn’t
I still harbour a crush on Sherilyn Fenn.
Ok, I think we all know that Liam is a douche but Noel is a real red ass too. So sure, this time Liam looks to be the “bigger” man, but let’s not act like he isn’t a first class cunt. Either way, these 2 can get fucked. PS- I love Oasis.
Thank you so much. I live in Manchester, so I was already still emotional from watching the one love concert last night (On the Telly, not there) and I just feel drained today. I’m going home to the husband and dog tonight, and I’m going to wrap us all up for one night only, and try and get back to normal for tomorrow…
There’s an old country duo called The Louvin Brothers. They butted heads in an epic way. An incredible book called “Satan is Real” was written about it.
Keep Calm And Hold My Beer
Joanna, your “set” made me snort three times. I’d ring a gong or turn my chair around or whatever for you.
I deeply empathize with your feelings. It’s like you think you have reached peak disgust and fury (and creeping despair), but then something new happens and you realize you are capable of loathing him even more.
There’s also this gem from The Golden Girls.
“Il Douche-ay!”
Go. Just do it. Go to Liverpool too, and do a Beatles pilgrimage if you want music stuff. Our Northern cities are ace, and they have a character all of their own. After that, go out onto the moors or further up to the Lake District; it looks like it shouldn’t really be here, but it’ll blow your mind and your heart.
You should definitely go, its worth visiting. I love going to Manchester. My sister lives and works there in Media City (BBC and ITV have large studios there) and its only a hour’s drive for me by car, its always fantastic to go, just a compeltely different atmosphere and vibe from other places
