My grandfather had the pleasure of playing with him at least once. He spoke highly of him.
No Jimmy Dickens stories, but my parents took (forcibly hauled) me to the Opry when I was about thirteen, and I had a hoot, and acquired a Minnie Pearl hat. Sadly, I can't remember who performed when I was there.
I welcome as many Jimmy Dickens stories as possible! My dad was a huge fan.
So I take it we're not talking about little Jimmy Dickens? Met him back in the late 70's. He was a great guy and had some funny stories from all his years on the road.
Or keep making country music for the people who love the genre and are tired of all the bigots and racist crackers dominating the fanbase?
Chelsea Peretti is adorrrrrrrable.
I hope you're right because the reality of what I've published has just dawned on me and I am currently seized by fear.
This is legitimately adorable, Madeleine.
I'm sorry about your dad. It's just the most brutal pain, isn't it? I've lost both my parents now - my mom in 2007 and my dad 5 years ago tomorrow. Some days it's still very fresh.
Our palliative ward allows familiy members to bring their pets (With permission!) to dying patients for visits. I think it's wonderful. A wee dog was visiting last week <3
You're totally right. If you have older relatives be prepared to deal with the attitude that they have hit their expiration date.

I totally agree with you, and I don't want to be pedantic, but I think you meant entirely avoidable, not unavoidable.
Same. Talking to Ira Glass topped them all (the friend who brought me worked on the show). Nice, handsome, smelled a-mazing. Softest hands on earth.
I want to meet her so badly, if only to say- "Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you, but I just have to tell you: I love you(r voice)."
thanks
You mentioned this in passing so I just want to pull it back out of the ether:
Women of color are vulnerable. Women of SIZE are also vulnerable (regardless of color, but especially if they are both of color AND size).
All the discussions sparked around this issue seem to focus entirely on the fact that women are…
me too. gimme a break. I mean, at least he was honest-i probably would have lied. He may not be a left wing political machine-but he IS involved in politics. You can tell by his face when doing some of his stories that he is actually pissed off about some of the news. And yes, he is a comedian, but still a citizen,…
Well said. I hope the jerkstore never runs out of you.
