Yeah, unfortunately though to get ahead professionally, sometimes we do have to change our communication style. I don’t think anyone should ever tone down to the point that they stick a bunch of qualifiers on to their knowledge or what they know to be true. It comes down to knowing the difference between “no, you’re

I used to manage someone who was very direct. Others, who happened to be older than her, used to complain about her “tone.” Especially in email. Direct, to the point. Any tone was added by the reader. I coached her some, but I’ll be damned if I was ever going to betray another woman and tell her to hedge what she

You are far more responsible than my 12 year old self. :)

Please, be single. You deserve better than this. Don’t settle for this. Get used to the idea that you may be single for the rest of your life. And then be okay with it. Develop a community outside a relationship

First gin + tonic of 2016. Whiskey neat is my go-to cold weather winter drink. Gin + tonic is my go to warm weather drink. It’s not even that warm here.

So, I had braces for four years as a kid. (They pulled some molars to make room in my mouth, which is why I had them for so long). And I always ignored “no pop corn” type instructions. I even chewed gum sometimes, though I never was much of a gum chewer. Why don’t orthodontists want you to each popcorn?

There’s lots

I second @AnastasiaBeaverhausenFG suggestion to focus on fitness goals.I was a tall skinny-minny (with no effort on my part) until my 30s. So thin assholes used to tell me to eat a cheeseburger.

In my 30s, I started to put on weight, and for awhile my weight matched my height. Now in my early 40s, my knees are

Good luck! (I’m hoping the IUD eliminates my period too. I’m jealous of women who are so lucky as to be mildly inconvenienced by it).

I just had my second inserted recently, and for the second time the (male) doctor said “it should be about as bad a Pap smear.” Only this most recent time, I knew damn well it was going to 1000X times as bad as a pap, and I told him. He suggested a local, but all I could imagine was a shot of Novocaine. Now I wonder

My first insertion was done during menstruation for that very reason.

That’s FDA approval. Lots of doctors off-label.

A tiny shot of novacaine in the cervix sounds just awful. Needles in my vagina, just no. And I say that as someone who had a painful IUD insertion.

That means approved by the FDA for that purpose. Doctors are free to prescribe off-label.. For example, I take medicine FDA approved for high blood pressure to help prevent migraines, but it’s not FDA approved for migraine treatment.

Exacly how many women do you talk to about birth control options they have considered or are considering for you to feel confident enough to state most women don’t mention the arm implant as an option?

You may also want to revisit what I wrote.

Not quite. Some one claimed a teen having ink implies they are less likely to follow the rules. Frankly, that’s a stupid statement since not following the rules is pretty much a hallmark of being a teen. Get it yet?

Six months is plenty of time to figure out if you think there’s a chance for a future with someone. Someone might not be comfortable or ready to tell someone they love him/her, but it’s not a challenge to let someone know you think there might be a future there when you think there might be a future there.

I can’t really think of a person I wouldn’t feel sympathy towards who drowned. I mean, think about that death and the terror those girls experienced. It’s terrible.

I think if you read the earlier responses, you’ll see that the Justice system had more tools at its disposal than charging these girls for their crimes. I don’t know what programs for at risk youth they were in, if any. Either way, three teenagers drowned after stealing a car. It’s a tragic outcome to have their lives

You really need me to explain that to you. Obviously seven arrests by the age of 16 is more than a teen not following the rules. Its clearly the extreme end of a teen not following the rules. So what’s your point by pointing out what did not need to be pointed out?
