I don’t see how hacking the plane’s entertainment system allowed him access to the engine’s full authority digital engine control (FADEC). I can’t imagine the DVD player is somehow connected to the entire flight management system in any way. Perhaps he’s just thinking that he did it at the same time a rudder input was

I have to submit one of my favorite cars of all time - the BMW 8-series.

Very well stated. I believe Tesla, and the other carmakers for that point, are being perfectly clear in stating the driver is always responsible for the actions and safety of their vehicle. Very smart move legally.

Interesting point! I didn't realize tha BMW was doing that. I've had a few but never with that option. The turns were mentioned in a video I saw during testing where the car navigated through a road course, managing all the turns without intervention. It was reported that when pulling into a Supercharger station it

Looks like a troll and definitely sounds like a troll. You know this isn't RedmondPie, right?

I believe one difference is that the car can scan speed signs, adjusting speed accordingly, as well as negotiate turns and lane changes - although the lane changes need to be initiated by flicking the turn signal stalk.

You can't possibly think drivers are being encouraged to sleep while behind the wheel. Every note on this from Tesla states the driver is ALWAYS responsible for the actions performed by the car. I'm shocked that you think the carmaker should now be responsible to wake you at an appropriate time before your exit. *lol*

Man I hope so!

That was kinda hot.

God I loved this car. What a killer design.

Tactical patty cake! This could go on for hours.

Pontiac, amiright? I rarely liked any of their cars, and the ones I kinda did like were more BBQ than automobile. This is one carmaker that I will not miss. Now what to do with Buick...

I ALWAYS loved this car. I nearly had a 400 in my 20's, but I couldn't convince my boss to give me the raise that would've made it feasible. The styling was so cool, in that 'used bar of soap' way. When they restyled it and made it tiny it just wasn't the same. I'd love to see Lexus bring back a tribute to this style!

I once did this on the way from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas in a rental Jeep CJ with my brother. We took it on the beach to play in the surf and got it WAY too close to the waves and it sank to the floorboards. That was the best lesson on liquefaction I've EVER had!

Bravo. Your comment was my thought exactly.

Wow. I can't imagine (at least in most places) the engineering safety checks required to send another crew in to place new explosives. I'd hate to be that guy walking around in a wreck like that. And in Russia? No thanks!!

Wow that's a lot of info in such a short comment. And I love it!

$50,000!? OMG I've got a drone in the garage right now with full flight management, minicam in cockpit that feeds to goggles that include head tracking software to pan/tilt the camera when my head turns, and a return-to-home feature that geo-locates me and will fly the plane back if it loses the signal. This was less

Wow, Adam. Thank you for sharing that! I'd never seen the video before. Very powerful - and so sad that there are STILL people that live this kind of fear and violence.

WTF with this ridiculous run-on sentence?!? Let's get some punctuation up in here and retry that sentiment.
