The temps would actually 'increase' when descending from altitude.

It's amazing how much better on electricity these lasers are than LEDs. Perfect evolution for the electric car.

Very cool. I tried Android for about 3 months to see if I liked that. It wasn't too bad, but I really missed how Apple synced everything whenever it was plugged in. My droids wouldn't do that without external software.

woo WOOOOOO!!

OMG that is so NOT what I clicked on in the picture.

Very horsepower!

You know, I've tried Windows 8 to see if I like the UI, but I just couldn't get used to it. I think if it were my only OS and I only used that OS it would have been different. I'm glad it works for you. To me it just seems like a different world. It's cool that it works for you, though! That means there is

Jumps!? I LOVE JUMPS!!!

I hope that's not the case. BMW's gotten tons of credit and acclaim for their i-series hybrids. There have been numerous in-depth articles and videos on the laser technology they're using as well. (personally I think the i8's eyes are cooler, too).

You shouldn't have to worry about that in the U.S. The DOT has not approved lasers for headlight systems yet. BMW's i8 uses them as well and that car can't be imported into the U.S. for private use until they change that rule. :(

Besides the freaking laser beams, it's still the same great Sport Quattro concept we all came to love last year. It's got a 4.0-liter V8 with 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque mated to an electric hybrid drive system supposedly efficient enough to hit 94 mpg on the U.S. cycle. That's a hybrid I could live

I LOVE this front fascia. Very GRRRRR.

But I have one complaint. While the engine sounds amazing, the stock exhaust isn't nearly as prominent and beefy as I had hoped. It's got a decent rumble at idle but otherwise it's too quiet. My father wants to get a better aftermarket exhaust, but not one that, to quote him, sounds like "some damn teenager's shit

Excellent point. I think the issue is strictly with the co-driver not conveying any skill at teaching. And his accent was a little difficult for me to understand at times. That may not have been an issue for the driver. It would frustrate the shit out of me if the co-driver simply berated me through the whole

You're assuming cheaper prices translate to reduced production costs. That would be an incorrect assumption.

I met a guy that wrote for Autoweek back in the day named Damian Geddry, and he was testing one of these out that week. I thought it was some hideous kit car based on the Porsche 914. But if I remember correctly, it had a Chrysler LeBaron turbo engine. It was really fun to drive!

Please tell me that's not really happening. EDIT: OMFG what a horrible thing to do to an incredible brand like AM.

Good point!

Perhaps this is one way they're trying to save on MPG? I know that BMW employs this for that reason.

Especially when it's actually not their fault! What jerks to not immediately take ownership of every mishap that happens near one of their cars. For shame. FOR SHAME!!
