I honestly think the media narrative around this is mostly false. Perhaps you think otherwise. I don’t think sexism is OK, and it grosses me out when I see Sanders supporters using it, but among the people I know IRL, where it counts, I don’t see it on a regular basis. That’s about all I can do.

As a long time Sanders supporter and someone who is probably too old to be a bro, this also bugs me, as there are more than enough reasons to support Sanders over Clinton, and more than enough sharp points to make about Clinton’s deficiencies without having to resort to sexism.

I’m a Bernie supporter and made a polite comment on a Planned Parenthood facebook page, saying I disagreed with their decision to endorse a candidate. Didn’t even mention Bernie Sanders. I got multipe abusive responses within minutes. Bad behavior is not limited to one camp.

The problem is people who don’t want to vote for Sanders because of a few people on Twitter. Not of his politics nor policies, but of people on Twitter. It takes real privilege to not vote due to some mean people on Twitter.
