Yeah, but context doesn’t make rage bait articles!!
My therapist has a term for this. It’s a “reason”, not an “excuse”. Just because they do it, doesn’t mean it’s right, but understanding the reason can help to understand the people.
We don’t have to like it, but we do have to accept that not all cultures share the same values. That has always been true and always will…
No. They’re afraid of getting the POC characters “wrong” according to Kotaku, Polygon or Vice and end up being raked across the coals by all game journalist for it.

I call BS.
After seeing what they’ve done with Diablo Immortal and OW2, which are f2p, I am really looking forward to seeing how they are going to monetize D4 beyond the standard purchase price.
I worked gaming retail and it would not have been the first time we got sent a roll of stickers and told to smack them over some writing on a box. More then likely Blizzard thought it would make money eventually so they kept in it and gave the devs the “legal” excuse
Not putting the recent information uncovered by Bloomberg (which was referenced on Kotaku in an updated previous article) where it was proven that she was offered 4k PER session for 4+ sessions is pretty disingenuous.
“a small minority of employees shouldn’t get to choose on behalf of all their colleagues.”
I get that read of it, but I think its more “look, I can’t say anything here due to an NDA, but I’m not a scab, my history and reputation should make that clear”.
