No, it’s pointing out that a well executed visual aesthetic is timeless. LttP, FF6 are still visually clear and engaging. Compared to the early foray of 3D which now are showing their age and are visually muddled.

Visuals, yes - hence my reference to an appropriately designed and optimized aesthetic.

I don’t get why so many gamers are caught up in the false hype that is graphical fidelity...

The thing is emulation is going to be worse experience than playing on original hardware, unless they have fully managed to reverse engineer the original code and find a way to recreate it using modern CPU calls.

So if we can’t have documented consent before, or after, the only option is during.

I’d simply say inflation alone covers the cost - keep in mind, that even at $70 this game costs just as much as Halo: Combat Evolved did at launch.

That the ‘power’ of the console has any bearing on the quality of the gameplay loop is laughable.

If the new Zelda game trashes that annoying durability mechanic and the stupid "power up your mastersword" souls-like mode, I'm in. Doubly so if they lean into more immersive Sim vibes.

that would need WoW to be console-compatible.. which it isn’t.

The world would be a better place if Dibalo Immoral didn’t exist.

Not just that but by making your dev tools customer facing, you can actually benefit from the wisdom of masses to fix issues that simply wouldn't be caught or fixed otherwise, meaning your game gets better over time. For massive immersive sims like Deus Ex or the Elder Scroll series... that is a significant boon

This is one of the few decisions that could ultimately crater their company.

Sony doubles down on expensive, proprietary tech and ends up driving away the market... this is basically their entire MO.

You do realize, this post is *literally* the same thing they said on Friday, just with less obvious snark.  It’s still gaslighting and they haven’t given an inch on what they’re claiming to want to accomplish.

This is already a thing in many nations.  Famously, the Philippines since 1987.

Indeed, it has none of the charm or appeal that made BG&E a success.  It’s all “LOOK WE GOT SUPER RAD OPTIONS” and none of the ingenious storytelling that sold it.

Yes.

People were already on the fence of supporting a self-admitted TERF. Now this just gives them more reason..

Except by the reporting in the article none of the trailers purported it would come to PC, people just assumed and are now shocked to find out something not promised won’t happen.

No mention that this is in fact, his *SECOND* NFT/Crypto Scam (see Doink coin).
