Well, it's true.
Well, it's true.
That's probably the most convincing thing I've heard thus far. Thanks!
Well, those aren't mutually exclusive. Also, the reason a lot of people pirate games is to try them out to see if they're worth buying. If it's a game like A Game of Thrones - Genisis, that everyone agrees is crappy, chances are most wouldn't bother. I wouldn't. But if it's a game like, say, DA2, where reviews were…
Oh, I wasn't implying Minecraft was a crappy game. I just realized that it could have been inferred from what I said. I just meant in general.
Know what IS a lost sale?
Well, people hated Steam at first. They hated Steam for quite a while, too. But as it grew, it really showed its worth as something important to PC gaming. Plus they have awesome sales.
I pirated Dragon Age: Origins, realized it was a fan-fucking-tastic game, and immediately uninstalled that pirated version and went out to buy the retail.
Yeah, that's why I said "something like this"
Hmmmmm. Tempting. It's not like I have any other games to buy any time soon...
wait, there are actually more than like 5 weapons in this game? Hmmmmm. Interesting.
Creation Engine=highly modified Gamebryo, just like Morrowind, Oblivion, and both recent Fallout games.
Imagine how much greater Skyrim could have been if Bethesda pulled their heads out of their asses and stopped using their "brand new" Gamebryo engine and used something like this instead...
uuuggghhh. Should I get ME3 at that PC download price? Or should I just wait for a cheaper price? I've heard mixed things, and I wasn't too thrilled with ME2. How's the narrative? RPG elements? All that? HALP!
The MP only stuff portion.
It's really sad that what you just described is a distinct possibility.
Eh, I think multiplayer would be kinda cool. I'm sure you don't HAVE to do it, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
I don't imagine a piece of hardware would interfere much with software development.
I'm still pretty unsure about this game. I was disappointed with ME2, and I'm afraid ME3 will be disappointing too. If I get some decent confirmation that the game has a great story, then I'll pick it up sooner than later. If I'm not convinced, then I'll just wait until it drops in price.
Don't get me wrong, it'll be interesting to see if it is true. I mean, the hardest part about it will be the controller, I think. People have become quite attached to their respective controllers.
It's kinda common sense... For every piece of hardware like this, you're going to pay the cost of the parts, the "labor" to build it, and possibly even a premium for the name. Even without the premium for the name, you're still at a higher price with the cost of labor.
