The mod itself is technically property of Blizzard. At least, everything made within the world editor. But anything made outside of the editor that's used with the mod isn't their property.

You can also get the Star Wars: Jedi Knight collection on Steam for just $5. They're old, but pretty damn fun. I got that pack along with Plants vs. Zombies last night. 6 games for less than $7? I'm down.

Except it was a mod created by a guy who now works for Valve. General modding rules say the mod content is IP to the creator.
